Festival showcases UAE heritage

Emirati heritage and culture was celebrated at the recent Mazayin Dhafra Camel Festival, held in the Liwa desert, 220km west of Abu Dhabi. The festival featured a camel beauty contest, a display of falconry, horse racing, handicrafts and other activities aimed at promoting the UAE’s folklore. People came from across the Gulf region to participate in the event.
