When you’re talking smartphones, the BlackBerry range from RIM is in a class of its own. The Curve 8900 does its lineage proud with its sophisticated design and easy operability, coupled with BlackBerry’s famed wireless experience.
RIM’s latest weighs nearly 110 grams with dimensions of 109mm (height), 60mm (width) and 13.5mm (depth). The display screen is 2.44 inches with a 480x360 pixel colour display.
The smartphone has a 35 key backlit QWERTY keyboard with a navigation trackball located at top center.
It offers the usual direct IP web browsing over Wi-Fi, with access to both the BlackBerry Enterprise and Internet server.
The smartphone sports a 3.2 megapixel camera with an enhanced media player and in-built GPS support
The device is available in the UAE exclusively through Etisalat for AED 2,400. Connection plans work out to AED 163 per month for a year or AED 55 per month for 2 years.
