In pictures: 20-hour power outage at Pearl Qatar

Doha's Pearl Qatar development spent nearly 24 hours without electricity between 1 and 2 March. Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) said it had provided 16 generators across certain areas of the island. Kahramaa sent numerous crews to carry out power restoration works. Power was cut from under the Al Kharaitiyat bridge near IKEA. Senior officials from Qatar's Ministry of Energy and Kahramaa visited the site as the evening of 1 March progressed. Power was interrupted for at least 20 hours. The damaged cable which led to the power outage at Pearl Qatar. Kahramaa confirmed on 2 March that overnight operations had restored power across the development.
