India starts shale exploration

Indian minister for petroleum and natural gas, M Veerappa Moily, and chairman and MD of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Sudhir Vasudeva, attended the dedication ceremony of the country’s first shale gas exploratory well. The well is being dug in the Cambay Basin, about 170km from Ahmedabad.
