Fashion-branded hotel Palazzo Versace Dubai was officially launched by artistic director Donatella Versace and Enshaa Group Chairman Sheikh Tariq Bin Faisal Al Qassimi at the Dubai Cultural Village this week.

The opening also saw the presence of top models Alessandra Ambrosio, Helena Christiansen and Natasha Poly.

Commenting on the launch of the high-end hotel, Donatella Versace said, “The United Arab Emirates is a very important market for Versace, and we have many brand loyalists living there. We’re so happy to be able to bring the Versace experience to the Middle East.”

Also speaking on the side-lines of the event, Sheikh Al Qassimi said, “The Palazzo Versace is more than a hotel; it is symbolic of the Versace lifestyle and sets a new standard that is currently unrivalled in the GCC region.”

The five-star Palazzo Versace is the second Versace-themed hotel in the world after the Gold Coast, Australia branch. The 215 room hotel is an architecture mix of 16th century Italian palaces and Arabian influences.

It is homage to the Versace brand and features signature brand elements such as gold ceilings, marble floors and Roman columns.

It features eight Versace-themed restaurants, a spa and three large pools and a kids club.

It is also located less than 15 minutes away from Dubai International Airport and 8 minutes away from Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai.
