Get multiple quotes: Some home movers ask for sky high prices but offer lower than average services. Get multiple quotes to understand the market’s average price. You want to get good service for moving something as intimate as your home, but you do not want to be ripped off.

Move early in the week: Because that is when many moving companies have less incoming jobs. Naturally, you may be in a position to negotiate a better rate with the movers. And you want to get a better rate.

Beware of unprofessional movers: EZHeights warns that such movers request more tips from customers as they don't receive sufficient pay from their company. They’re also not as careful with your belongings as they should be. Be present during the process and make sure they take extra care of fragile furniture.

Use coupons for moving services: Why not use a discount code or coupons for moving companies? Just make sure the company has a good reputation in the field so you do not end up unpacking and finding broken or damaged furniture.

Don’t buy packing supplies: Ask friends, relatives and employers for boxes. Liquor stores and supermarkets also tend to have plenty of extra boxes on hand. This way, you’ll save as much as you can on your relocation process!
