Eye of the Tiger – Survivor

\nThere’s nothing like a Rocky song to get you motivated. “Don’t lose grip on the dreams of the past. You might fight just to keep them alive,” as music legend, Survivor, puts it. You’ll get this tune stuck in your head all – day – long.

It’s My Life – Bon Jovi

\nThis might not be the best song if you’re on the way to work and you’re not your own boss, in which case, it’s definitely not your life (not at work anyway). However, the song also advises to “stand tall,” and “don’t bend, don’t break, don’t back down.” So it works after all.

We Are the Champions - Queen

\nYes we are! At least while we’re listening to this song. Live your motivational moment to words like “No time for losers” and “keep fighting ‘til the end.” Admit it, you’re already feeling more ambitious!

Hero - Mariah Carey

\nThis song does not get enough mentions. “There’s a hero if you look inside your heart” is the best line ever to listen to in the morning. What’s better than Mariah Carey telling you you’re a hero? What more motivation do you need?

Ain’t No Mountain High Enough – Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell

\nYou bet there isn’t. Whether you’re listening to this on the way to work or at the gym, it’ll really make you feel like there’s nothing you can’t overcome. Some people may call that false hope, but we like to say it's temporary bliss.\n

I’m a Survivor – Destiny’s Child

\nBefore you make fun of this tune, have a listen to the chorus, which says, “I’m not gonna give up. I’m not gonna stop. I’m gonna work harder. I’m gonna make it.” Doesn’t that sound like a work song? Also, it features Beyoncé’s heavenly voice, so that’s a plus.

My Way - Frank Sinatra

\nThey say old is gold. And we agree. Sinatra’s “My Way” should be on every man’s record list. Words like “Yes there were times, I’m sure you know, when I bit off more than I could chew. But through it all, when there was doubt, I ate it up and spit it out. I faced it all and stood tall.” We won’t add the ending of that song script (“and did it my way”) because you probably can’t do it your own way at work. But hey, be positive!

I Believe I Can Fly

\nThere’s something empowering about R. Kelly’s “I believe I Can Fly” tune. We don’t know if it’s his ultra-mellow voice or the cheesy words that we all secretly tell ourselves: “I believe I can fly… I believe I can touch the sky.” You go for it, champ. The sky is the limit!

Remember the name - Fort Minor (feat. Styles of Beyond)

\n“Ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, fifteen percent concentrated power of will, five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain, and a hundred percent reason to remember the name.” Does it get more motivational than this? Embrace the words.

I - Kendrick Lamar

\nWe’re going to add in a hip hop song just because its Kendrick Lamar’s “I,” which is basically him repeatedly singing “I love myself” with bits of “everybody looking at you crazy. What you gone do? Lift up your head and keep moving.” Talk about hitting motivation and confidence with one stone!
