Rail line threatens London landmark

The proposed HS2 high speed rail link could threaten the existence of one of London’s most popular destinations. The rail line could pass through Camden Lock Market when its first leg from London to Birmingham is completed in 2026. A report commissioned by Camden Town Unlimited has warned that the market and surrounding area could face up to 9,000 job losses, with critics also saying the historic element of the market could be lost.
