With Dubai Watch Week just around the corner, we figured it was time to create a “best women’s watches” list. 1. Isn’t Chopard’s diamond watch a beauty? It’s a limited edition bracelet watch from the brand’s Green Carpet collection. 2. Harry Winston’s Precious Butterfly Automatic allegedly used powder found on butterfly wings in the dial’s design. The watch entails 74 diamonds, 18K rose gold, and a satin strap. 3. Audemars Piguet created a watch with an attitude and named it Diamond Punk. It boasts 7,848 snow-set diamonds around a cuff bracelet with pyramid facets. 4. There are only 12 pieces of this Slim d’Hermès Koma Kurabe watch around the world. But the most interesting thing about it is the Aka-e Japanese art on the porcelain dial, the latter of which translates into “red picture painting.” The dial is hand-painted in red and ocher and decorated with gold by 70 year-old Japanese master artist Buzan Fukushima. 5. The fish and diamonds in Chopard’s Happy Fish watch have a coating of Super LumiNova – meaning they glow in the dark! It doesn’t get cooler than that – or the unsettled diamonds resembling air bubbles escaping under water. 6. Jaeger-Le Coultre created the gold rose Reverso a Eclipse watch as a tribute to late artist Vincent Van Gogh on his 125th death anniversary. The brand joined forces with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam to create the dial featuring the artist’s famous Sunflowers painting. 7. Chanel recently unveiled its J12 Skeleton Flying Tourbillion in 18K white gold and black ceramic set with diamonds. Frankly, it had us at Chanel. 8. The Millenary Hand-wound watch from Audemars Piguet features 18K white gold, diamonds, blue cabochon sapphire, mother-of-pearl, and an alligator strap – enough to put it on our list. 9. This Extremely Piaget cuff watch in 18k white gold is set with over 1,700 diamonds. It also has a natural onyx dial. 10. Finally, Chopard’s Imperiale 36 mm Joaillerie is inspired by the Romain era and decorated with a mother-of-pearl dial and of course, diamonds.
