YouGov’s Brandindex reveals tech heavy list recognised as the best by women in time for International Women's Day.
YouGov’s revealed its Brandindex yearly rankings of the best perceived brands by women in the UAE. Find out which brands made the top ten. (Shutterstock) Emirates is the most positively perceived brand by women in the UAE over the past year. 2016 also saw Emirates crowned as the number 1 brand in the overall YouGov Brand Index UAE Buzz rankings. The second most positively perceived brand is WhatsApp. The messaging service recently introduced ‘Status’ video stories and updated in-app features. (Getty Images) The UAE’s Hypermarket Carrefour comes in at third place, and is the only hypermarket in the rankings. Carrefour plans to expand and revamp their online store helping to continue the growth into 2017. (Getty Images) Apple, sits at fourth place in the rankings, as it released the new MacBook Pro, iOS 10 software, the Apple Watch Series 2 and the iPhone 7 with wireless AirPods. This year will see the arrival of iPhone 8. (Getty Images) In 2016 Facebook launched 360 photos and videos across its platform, plus new and improved app features and the launch of ‘Marketplace’. The social netowrk giant has also revealed it plans to test the 'dislike' button for Messenger. Swedish furniture titan IKEA lands at ninth place, and it also celebrated their 25th year in the UAE with exclusive product deals and cash-back offers. (Getty Images) Google in tenth place have had an exciting year, with the announcement of their smart phone the Pixel, the release of 360° views of UAE landmarks in Google Maps and the release of video messaging app Google Duo.
