Sri Lanka celebrates World Cup win

Sri Lanka’s T20 cricket team has celebrated winning the sport’s World T20 tournament by touring through capital city Colombo in an open-topped bus. The victorious team, including legends of the game Kumar Sangakkara and Lasith Malinga met Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapakse during a welcoming ceremony as they returned from the competition in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Sri Lanka beat India by six wickets in the final, erasing memories of final losses in 2007, 2009, 2011, and 2012.
