Tennis stars relax in Dubai
Players partied ahead of the start of the tournament
Tennis legend Roger Federer was among the stars attending the ATP Players’ Party during the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. Federer posed with Com McLoughlin – executive vice chairman of Dubai Duty Free, and his wife Breeda. Multi grand slam title winner Novak Djokovic was joined on stage by impersonator Josh Berry, who helped make the event a fun-filled affair. The 6ft 5in frame of Czech player Tomas Berdych was hard to miss at the party. Here he is pictured with George Horan, president of Dubai Duty Free, and his wife Carmel. Other sports stars also joined the party, including Formula 1 driver Nico Hulkenberg, who took the opportunity to chat with Roger Federer. Russian player Mikhail Youzhny – nicknamed ‘Colonel’ by his fans – immersed himself in the cultural side of the UAE. Berdych took time to sign some artwork during the event. The piece was created by graffiti artist Steffi Bow. Djokovic, third left, posed for a photo with (L-R) Breeda McLoughlin, Colm McLoughlin, an unnamed guest, CEO of Al Nabooda Automobiles Mr Rajaram, tournament director Salah Tahlak, and vice president of marketing at Dubai Duty Free Sinead El Sibai. Roger Federer – one of the star attractions at the party – points to a picture of himself.
