The first Arabian supercar debuts at Dubai Motor Show
Only seven units will be produced of the Lykan HyperSport 2014, each with a price tag of $3.4 million
Established in Beirut and Headquartered in Dubai since early 2013, W Motors is the first Arabian manufacturer of high-end cars. The company launched the exterior prototype The Lykan HyperSport last January at the International Qatar Motor Show. Yesterday, October 5, the unveiling of the first complete pre-production unit of the Lykan HyperSport 2014 took place at the Dubai International Motor Show. Only seven units will be produced of the Lykan HyperSport 2014, each sold at $3.4 million. The car combines elements which are both elegant and extreme. The body is fully made from carbon fiber and the sharp edges are accented with Diamond and Saphire encrusted LED headlights. The interior is completely customisable with a holographic display that features interactive motion and tactile interaction. A 24h/24h Global Elite concierge service provided by Quintessentially Lifestyle is dedicated to “Lykan” owners only and a unique patented design Cyrus Klepcys watch was developed exclusively for each car. This hypersport car was born to perform. Power leaves the flat six twin-turbo engine through a seven-speed PDK clutch transmission reaching 770hp and 1000 NM torque. At a top speed of 395 km/h, the Lykan HyperSport 2014 can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. The turbo Mid-Rear engine was engineered by RUF Automobile in Germany, while the lightweight Aluminum wheels have been forged by 2elle Engineering in Italy to strip out the bulk while maintaining strength for increased performance. The seven units can be ordered in any of the ten colours available – from Arabian Pearl to Khalifa Green- and will be ready for delivery by the first quarter of 2014. W motors next launch will be of the SuperSport 2015, which has a limited production of 25 units.
