The Flying Scotsman’s first full day of service after a decade

The Flying Scotsman, an express passenger train service that has been running between Edinburgh and London—the capitals of Scotland and England respectively—since 1862, is again being run under steam since undergoing a £4.2m decade-long restoration. The legendary locomotive has been brought back to life so it can be exhibited at the National Railway Museum in York.
