The retreat will offer Oasis pool swimming, Emirati cuisine, and oud music for National Day. Arabian Nights Village, Abu Dhabi’s desert retreat, is offering a traditional Emirati experience for the upcoming National Day break. Starting today until December 5, the village will feature a traditional ‘souk,’ market, where chefs will prepare Emirati food and sweets in live cooking stations. The market will entail tents where guests can dress in national costumes and have photos of them taken and kept as souvenirs. In the evening, the Village will host a desert bonfire alongside dinner, a traditional oud player, and entertainment. Guests will also be able to enjoy dune bashing, sand surfing, camel riding, henna painting, desert safaris, and Oasis pool swimming. The National Day packages will start at AED 1,150. As the retreat’s name portrays, it is designed to look like an old Emirati village. Its accommodation includes a watch tower, dried palm fronds as homes, and mud clay or goat’s hair tents.
