Winter style inspiration from The Gentleman Blogger
Matthew Zorpas has been named “Best Dressed” by several publications.
London-based fashion blogger, Matthew Zorpas, has over 110,000 followers on Instagram and a title of GQ’s Best Dressed Man to his name. His style caught our eye when he was on a trip to Dubai’s Motor Show. After checking out his blog, we couldn’t help but share 10 of his winter looks. You can thank us later. First, have a look at his genius ensembles – fit for a gentleman. 1. A suit doesn’t have to be boring or single shaded. Zorpas proves that with this two-toned, chequered, navy blue number. The trick to pulling it off is keeping the accessories simple and identical – notice the matching bow tie? 2. We’ve never been fans of Borg – let alone a thickly Borg-lined coat. Somehow, though, Zorpas pulls it off. We think the secret’s in the classic suit pants and simple black boots – or the beard. 3. And you thought green crocodile loafers weren’t manly. Boy were you wrong, because these shoes never looked better with the grey suit pairing. Remember boys, it’s all about how you wear them. 4. Chequered jackets rarely look cool, but the way Zorpas has styled this one is definitely “cool.” Pair it with ray bans, cotton pants, and a casual polo. 5. Speaking of chequered patterns, this double breasted ensemble is pretty hard to pull off. Why? It’s meant for slightly older men. Zorpas has found ways to make it young by adding a fedora and hip carrier. 6. We never thought of black Borg jackets, probably because they’re so rare to find. It’s usually white or beige Borg jackets that are in style. The nice thing about this blogger’s style, however, is that he sports unique, one of a kind, items. 7. The beanie has long been a topic of debate for men. Is it hip or boyish? Is it stylish or a faux pas? Zorpas proves it’s how you wear it. He paired it with sneakers, cotton pants, and a classic sweater. It looks stylish enough to us. 8. Not everyone can pull off a cobalt blue suit, but Zorpas definitely pulled this one off. The most important factor when wearing this colour is paying attention to the cut and minimalising accessories. 9. We love boots. But a lot of men tend to think of them as bikers’-only shoes. The best thing about Zorpas’ pair is that they’re definitely not suited for bikers. They’re too classy and sharp – don’t you agree? 10. Who would’ve thought that tying a blazer around your waist would look good? This blogger did – and it works. While we recommend keeping the blazer on your shoulders, we applaud Zorpas’ grey suit.
