Plug-Ins Office-In-A-Box solution to offer computing, networking, communications and printing to SMBs
Consumer electronics retailer Plug-Ins has set about getting its hands on the UAE's small business market by unveiling a series of all-in-one IT packages aimed at start-ups.
The company is giving SMB and SOHO customers the opportunity to purchase what it is dubbing an ‘Office-In-A-Box' solution encompassing delivery, installation, networking, device enablement and a maintenance facility that includes the supply of consumables. It will also customise the offering based on the customer's needs and brand preference.
Customers can select from various suites based around post-sales support services, on-site engineers, 24-hour service, outsourced electronic engineering services and replenishment packages, although it hasn't disclosed prices.
Delivery and support for set-up and installation will be carried out by servicing outfit Techserve, one of Plug-Ins' sister companies in the Al-Futtaim Group.
"Office-In-A-Box fills a gap in the market addressing businesses looking for quick and affordable solutions for their office equipment needs without the hassles of multi-sourcing," claimed Vishesh Bhatia, group director for electronics, engineering and technologies at Al-Futtaim.
He says the solution will allow small organisations to get their IT systems up and running quickly with the hardware and software they need. "New businesses will have the choice of selecting different packages depending upon office size and product density," commented Bhatia. "These could include a full product portfolio a typical office would need such as PC, multifunction devices, telephone systems, copiers or conference room equipment."
