Authorities in Ras Al Khaimah have launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to a work stoppage at a construction site in the emirate at the weekend.

A group of workers laid down their tools on Friday, according to RAK Police Commander-in-Chief, Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan.

An investigation into the causes of the work stoppage at the site is underway after the security authorities and police controlled the situation there, Bin Bin Alwan added.

The police commander also appealed for people not to disseminate rumours on social media.

He emphasised that the police are keenly interested in publishing all information obtained in the ongoing investigation.
