Brand View: Half-day event will help participants understand the new law and its impact on enhancing the UAE's reputation as a global dispute resolution hub
Dubai Chamber in collaboration with Taylor Wessing (Middle East) LLP is hosting this workshop to provide a better awareness of the new Federal Law no. (6) of 2018 on Arbitration. Participants will be able to understand the new law and its impact on enhancing the UAE’s reputation as a global dispute resolution hub.
The workshop will assist participants in understanding the key provisions of the new Law on Arbitration and provide a comparison with the previous applicable laws.
It will also examine how key provisions of the new Law on Arbitration might be interpreted and applied in practice, drawing on the experience and views of both Common and Civil Law legal practitioners and experienced arbitrators.
The half-day event will also address arbitration clauses in contracts, dealing with matters of jurisdiction and possible enforcement, and examine conflicts between the On-shore and DIFC jurisdictions and how the new Law on Arbitration might be used to address this.
The event takes place at Dubai Chamber (Main Office) - 2nd Floor, on December 5, from 8:30am to 1pm.
