Kuwait announces 55 new cases of Covid-19

Kuwaiti officials have announced a total of 55 new confirmed coronavirus cases in the country, bringing the total to 910.

In a story quoting Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, the state-run KUNA news agency said that the new cases include four Kuwaiti nationals, 36 Indians, six Bangladeshis, two Pakistanis, and one Iranian, one Egyptian and one Nepalese national. 

Kuwait has so far reported one death. 

On Monday, Kuwait ordered the total lockdown of two districts and extended a public holiday in the country through April 26.

Globally, there have been more than 1.5 million confirmed cases of Covid-19, including 89,877 fatalities and 340,000 recoveries.
