The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the UAE now stands at 2,990

UAE reports 331 new coronavirus cases, two deaths

The UAE has reported 331 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total in the country to 2,990, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP).

Two more fatalities were also recorded, bringing the number of coronavirus-related deaths in the UAE to 14.

According to the Ministry, the dead included one individual of Asian nationality and an Arab national, both of whom were suffering from chronic diseases.

Additionally, 29 more patients recovered. A total of 268 coronavirus recoveries have now been recorded in the UAE.

Globally, there have been more than 1.6 million confirmed cases of coronavirus as of the morning of April 10, including more than 95,000 deaths and 356,000 recoveries.

In the past two days alone, the UAE has conducted more than 40,000 tests as it works to stem the spread of the coroanvirus.
