Coronavirus: changes made to Dubai movement permit website

Coronavirus: changes made to Dubai movement permit website

The website for Dubai’s move permit system appears to now only allow residents to go grocery shopping once every three days amid the restrictions in place to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

Additionally, the website - https://dxbpermit.gov.ae/ - also now appears to not permit residents to request trips longer than three hours.

Trips to ATMs to withdraw cash have now been limited to every 5 days.

Some users also report noticing that the website now autosaves the details of residents.

Dubai authorities have yet to make a formal announcement of any changes to the website.

Last week, a high ranking member of Dubai Police revealed that the website can receive as many as 1,200 requests each minute.

Only people who have registered on the website and received approval are allowed to leave home.
