Over 200 people recover from Covid-19 in Kuwait

Kuwait has the recovery of 213 Covid-19 cases, bringing the country’s total to 1,389, according to the state-run KUNA news agency.

According to Kuwait’s Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah, the recovered patients will be sent to a rehabilitation ward before ultimately being discharged from the hospital.

Earlier this week, authorities announced that a section of the Jaber Al-Ahmad Stadium has been converted into a huge medical facility designed to cater for the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the country.

The complex - which was built in three weeks - includes a field medical centre, dormitories for medics and nurses, 5,000 beds, intensive care units and pharmacies.

The first section, which was 1,250 beds, has been handed over to the Ministry of Health. The whole centre will be fully operational by the end of May.
