Coronavirus: 2,532 new cases in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has reported 2,532 new cases of Covid-19 in the kingdom, the country’s Ministry of Health announced on Thursday.

The new cases bring Saudi Arabia’s total to 63,077.

Twelve deaths were also reported, bringing the kingdom’s Covid-19 death toll to 351.

Additionally, 2,562 recoveries were recorded. To date, there have been 36,040 recoveries.

According to local media reports, Saudi authorities are preparing to use electronic wristbands to monitor people that are in quarantine.

Government entities also plan to issue electronic warnings about Covid-19 to provide accurate information to the public quickly.

Globally, there have been more than 5.1 million confirmed cases of Covid-19, including 330,768 deaths.

Over 2 million recoveries have been recorded around the globe.
