The UAE's total number of Covid-19 cases now stands at 49,469

Covid-19: UAE announces 400 new cases, 1 death

UAE health officials detected 400 new Covid-19 cases after conducting 56,000 tests, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced late on Thursday.

In a statement, the MoHAP said that the new cases bring the UAE’s total to 49,469.

Additionally, the MoHAP also announced one additional fatality as a result of the virus. The UAE’s total number of Covid-19 deaths now stands at 317.

Statistics from the MoHAP also show that 504 new recoveries, bringing the UAE’s total number of recoveries to 38,664.

Globally, there have been over 10.99 million confirmed cases of Covid-19, including more than 542,100 deaths and 6.14 million recoveries.

 Earlier this week, the UAE government announced that UAE residents looking to return to the country must now undergo a Covid-19 test and receive a negative result at least 72 hours before departure
