The Kuwaiti government said it is considering raising public sector salaries, bowing to demands from parliament concerned about inflation and keen to distribute oil revenue.
The government commissioned the World Bank to study government salaries, the cabinet said in a statement late on Monday.
Salaries should be “in harmony with all changes and living conditions, and what the public interest required,” the cabinet said. The review will be completed by the end of February.
