Saudi Arabia and Bulgaria on Thursday signed an agreement to boost bilateral air transport services.
The agreement will also help the two sides to establish regulatory frameworks for conducting safe bilateral air transport services in accordance with the Chicago Convention.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh by the Saudi minister of transport and logistics and chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, and Bulgarian deputy prime minister for economic policies and minister of transport and communications Hristo Aleksiev.
The agreement is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts in the civil aviation sector to build international partnerships.
The country has set an ambitious goal of increasing its air connectivity with the rest of the world, reaching 250 destinations to become a global logistics platform, and reaching a passenger target of 330 million by 2030.
