Power facility is up for grabs

Tenders have been submitted for Dubai's latest power station to be built in Jebel Ali.

Mott MacDonald, PB Power and Sigma are all understood to be chasing the consultancy package for Dubai’s latest power plant to be built in Jebel Ali.

The trio are understood to have submitted tenders for Power and Desalination Plant M, part of a US $2.7 billion (AED10 billion) programme aimed at expanding network capacity until 2008.

The package involves the engineering consultancy services for the new 2000 mW desalination and power plant, and the associated 400kV substations and 400kV OHL circuit works.
