Suzuki SX4 posts impressive market performance driven by rising popularity of small A segment models.
Suzuki Motors Corp. (SMC) has recently announced that it has achieved a 40 per cent increase in sales in Lebanon during the first half of 2008 compared to the same period in 2007. Suzuki has credited the impressive sales performance to its successful market expansion strategy and the recently expanded model line-up.
Of Suzuki's new line of vehicles, the SX4 has achieved the most remarkable sales results owing to its versatility and rich features. Leveraging its success in the Lebanese market, Suzuki also announced that G.A. Bazerji & Sons, Suzuki's sole distributor in Lebanon, will be opening its new after-sales premises in the second week of October 2008. The new facility will have a total area of nearly 4,000 square meters, with a covered area of approximately 3,000 square meters.
"We are pleased to have achieved very positive sales results in the first six months of the fiscal year, which only reflects the strong market value of the Suzuki vehicles in Lebanon. Customers have been very satisfied with the new Suzuki models, especially the SX4, which has been one of the best-selling cars during this period. The prevailing economic situation, particularly rising oil prices, has pushed the popularity of the small A segment model," said Nabil Bazerji, Managing Director, G.A. Bazerji & Sons.
"The increasing demand for Suzuki vehicles in this market is a very good indication of our future prospects as we introduce the Sedan version of the SX4 later this summer. We believe that this volume maker model will help us achieve a quantum leap in sales in the second half of the year," added Bazerji.
The new premises of G.A. Bazerji & Sons, which will be inaugurated on October 8, 2008, will include a showroom and will be regarded as one of the few large-scale premises in Lebanon. G.A. Bazerji & Sons also revealed plans to expand its POS, particularly in West Beirut through company-operated premises as well as through appointed sub-dealers.
In addition, the Suzuki distributor has conducted aggressive marketing and promotional activities through advertising in various media and selective direct customer contact.
