Pro Technology has been awarded exclusive Middle East distribution rights for Small Tree Communications' range of high-performance networking solutions for Mac OS X. Small Tree claims that the deal further strengthens its global positioning among networking professionals.

“Pro Technology has established a sterling reputation in the Middle East for supplying world-class brands and comprehensive service in the networking industry,” stated Corky Seeber, president at Small Tree Communications.

“With Pro Technology now selling the Apple Power Mac G5 Quad to its customers, our partnership was inevitable. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with Pro Technology as we continue to strengthen our visibility in markets around the world," he added.

Jamal H. Maraqa, managing director at Pro Technology, added: “When speaking with our contacts at Apple about high-performance networking solutions for Mac OS X, there was one company that stood out above the rest — Small Tree Communications. As we begin offering the Apple Power Mac G5 Quad to our clientele, it is imperative that we also provide solutions that will enable those purchasing that system to upgrade performance if necessary. Our partnership with Small Tree is ideal for our customers, as a respected IT products and solutions provider joins forces with a superior network manufacturer.”

Small Tree has developed products that have enabled Apple to increase its reach in the high-performance, supercomputing market. The company claims that the introduction of its InfiniBand technology, 10 gigabit Ethernet cards, 802.3ad link aggregation, multi-port gigabit copper Ethernet cards and fibre optic Ethernet cards has enabled more and more IT professionals to turn to Apple Computers for their clustering capabilities.

This latest deal adds to Pro Technology’s expansive portfolio, which now covers an array of vendors including major names such as Apple, HP, and IBM.
