Dubai Land Department aims to use 'geospatial' technology to promote real estate
The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has signed an agreement with Airbus to explore the use of 3D technology to promote real estate.
The two parties announced on Tuesday they had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to look at how to use technology to better market properties.
Under the MoU, Airbus will develop special ‘geospatial’ software that provides a 3D virtual navigation tour of properties on the market.
The MoU is part of the government’s Smart Dubai initiative to use technology to develop government services.
DLD director-general Sultan Butti bin Mejren said: “DLD is delighted to announce its partnership with Airbus, which demonstrates DLD’s commitment to exploring the most innovative solutions to promote Dubai properties globally, and to further enhance our customer service offerings through accessible and engaging digital technologies.”
DLD and Airbus have also agreed to explore cooperation elsewhere in the Middle East.
