The Qatari women died on Tuesday morning, becoming the country’s third death from the H1N1 virus.

Officials told the Qatar News Agency (QNA) she was suffering from acute pneumonia and high fever and was treated as a swine flu patient. She was admitted to intensive care on September 14.

The first two swine flu deaths were that of a Qatari national who had passed away last July and a resident from Nepal, who died ten days ago.

Health authorities have said that vaccines should be made available by the end of October in time for the hajj pilgrimage in November.
