The first Qatar International Exhibition for Small and Medium Industries is scheduled to take place in November, showcasing Qatar as a new tech hub in the region and a destination for SMEs around the world.

Organised by Trans Continent Exhibitions & Conferences, the event will be held at Doha Exhibition Centre between 17-19 November, and will focus on start-of-the-art technologies and products.

Countries including the UAE, India, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Germany, Egypt and Palestine will have exhibitors at the event, which will also provide valuable networking opportunities as well as information about setting up business in Qatar.

Nicholas Gergely, business development manager at Trans Continent Exhibitions & Conferences, said the company had built relationships with bodies including Qatar’s government, foreign embassies, and institutes around the world to deliver the event.

He said the exhibition would be “promoting the country and its ambition economic development plans, aiming to invite SMEs of the world to provide the emerging market of Qatar with their best technologies, products and practices”.
