Health ministries confirm fatalities, bring total deaths to 20 in two countries.
Three more swine flue related deaths have been reported in Kuwait and Qatar, health chiefs have announced.
Two cases were confirmed in Kuwait on Thursday bringing the total number of H1N1 fatalities in Kuwait to 16.
One of the cases involved a 16 year-old who health chiefs said suffered from other diseases before succumbing to the flu.
Meanwhile, the Education Ministry said that around 86 swine flu cases were reported in all schools in Kuwait during the past week.
In Qatar, the Supreme Council of Health confirmed the death of a 13-year-old Iranian boy due to H1N1 influenza — the first reported fatality among children in the Gulf state.
The total number of people who have died due to swine flu related illnesses in the country has now reached four.
