QR announces Athens scheudle

Qatar Airways has announced the schedule for its new six-times-a-week service to Athens, which begins on June 15.

Qatar Airways has announced the schedule for its new service to Athens, which begins on June 15. The Qatari flag capital will fly six times a week to the Greek Capital, using a two-class Airbus A320.

Qatar Airways is promoting the launch of the service by offering members of Privilege Club, its frequent flyer programme, double Qmiles for the first full month of the services.

“Athens has tremendous history and culture and is the gateway to some beautiful islands in the Mediterranean which I am sure will be highly popular with holidaymakers as the summer season approaches,” said Qatar Airways’ CEO, Akbar Al Baker.

“We expect to see excellent traffic from the Middle East, Indian sub-continent, Asia and Africa feeding into our flights to Athens via Doha. And similarly, we look forward to welcoming passengers out of Greece to connect onto our extensive network of flights from Doha.”

The times for the new service are as follows:

Depart Doha International AirportMondays and Fridays QR472 at 1145, arrive Athens at 1620Tuesdays and Thursdays QR474 at 0030, arrive Athens at 0505Wednesdays and Sundays QR472 at 0850, arrive Athens at 1325

Depart Athens International AirportMondays and Fridays QR473 at 1720, arrive Doha at 2120Tuesdays and Thursdays QR475 at 0715, arrive Doha at 1115Wednesdays and Sundays QR473 at 1530, arrive Doha at 1930
