The recently merged telecoms solutions provider Alcatel-Lucent will be focusing its presence at GULFCOMMS 2007 around portfolio lines that support the ongoing competitive transformation of service providers worldwide. This ongoing transformation in the industry has both a structural component as well as a technological component.
"The driver for this transformation is mainly an increasing demand from end-users for always-on delivery of services comprising voice, data and video connections, all of them delivered simultaneously across any devices, for highest convenience and value," comments Mazen Hamadallah, Alcatel-Lucent's country manager, UAE.
"Alcatel-Lucent has, by far, the most extensive and comprehensive portfolio in the telecoms industry, and obviously we cannot demonstrate it all at GULFCOMMS, but we are selecting some parts of it that will illustrate how we are helping operators and enterprises address this ongoing kind of transformation," he adds.
The two main themes of Alcatel-Lucent's presence at GULFCOMMS 2007 will therefore be blending services to the end-user, including video, and supporting large enterprises that are looking to improve their financial performance, productivity and efficiency, Hamadallah also confirms. For all the latest tech news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
