ADIPEC 2025 to drive global energy progress via strategic conversations

With 205,000 attendees expected from 172 countries, ADIPEC 2025 reaffirms Abu Dhabi’s leadership in driving collaboration, innovation and resilience across the global energy value chain.

As the world grapples with the surging energy demands of artificial intelligence (AI), the rise of new economic powerhouses, and a global shift in energy systems, ADIPEC 2025 is set to unite the wider energy ecosystem in Abu Dhabi from 3–6 November. The event will aim to build resilience and scale intelligent solutions that accelerate inclusive global progress.

Future of global energy dialogue

At the heart of ADIPEC 2025 will be its renowned Strategic Conference, which will convene the world’s most influential leaders, policymakers and innovators across 10 dedicated programmes. The agenda is designed to tackle the energy sector’s most pressing challenges, foster meaningful cross-sector dialogue, and drive tangible progress towards a more sustainable and secure energy future.

Five new focus areas – Emerging Economies, Natural Gas & LNG, Downstream & Chemical, Diversity, Leadership & Development, and AI & Digitalisation, underscore the breadth of the global energy value chain and the issues shaping its evolution.

The Digitalisation & AI conference programme will be a highlight, assembling an unparalleled line-up of global AI leaders to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming energy systems. Topics will include efficiency optimisation, predictive analytics, cybersecurity and data-driven decision-making. Sessions will delve into how intelligent systems are redefining operational models and leadership, examining the implications of AI for energy diversification, Responsible AI investment, and the Internet of Things (IoT) in energy operations.

Among the confirmed speakers for the Strategic Conference are:

· His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, UAE
· His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Energy, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
· Doug Burgum, Secretary of the Interior, United States of America
· Arthur Mensch, Co-Founder and CEO, Mistral AI
· Dr Guy Diedrich, Chief Innovation Officer, Cisco
· Murray Auchincloss, CEO, bp
· Tengku Muhammad Taufik, President and CEO, PETRONAS
· Horacio Marín, Chairman and CEO, YPF
· Christopher James, Founder, Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of the Board, Engine No. 1

“ADIPEC 2025 is more than a gathering – it’s where ambition becomes action and ideas become measurable impact. In today’s complex world, progress depends on harnessing all technologies, from artificial intelligence to advanced low-carbon solutions and uniting every part of the energy ecosystem,” Thomas Loffler, Senior Vice President – ADIPEC. “By bringing together diverse perspectives from across geographies and industries, ADIPEC will help shape a resilient, inclusive and high-growth future where energy security and sustainability advance together.”

AI at the heart of energy transformation

Under the theme ‘Energy. Intelligence. Impact.’, ADIPEC 2025 will spotlight how AI is revolutionising the global energy value chain – from production optimisation and predictive maintenance to autonomous operations and grid reliability enhancement.

AI is emerging as both a major consumer of global energy and a powerful enabler of efficiency and resilience. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), AI-powered systems could reduce energy sector operating costs by up to 25% and improve efficiency by 5–8%, while energy demand from data centres is expected to double by 2030.

To address these opportunities and challenges, ADIPEC 2025 will feature 85 dedicated conference sessions, an expanded AI Zone, and AI Leadership Roundtables, bringing together leading figures from technology, policy and investment.

Curated in partnership with ADNOC, the AI Zone will return for its second year with a larger footprint and a more dynamic programme. Centred on the dual focus of “AI for Energy” and “Energy for AI,” the Zone will connect innovators with energy producers, investors and enablers driving digital transformation across global markets. Interactive features such as The Intelligence Grid, The Talent Hub, The Values Room and Data Visualisation will offer immersive simulations and debates on how AI is reshaping sustainability, skills and system resilience.

New low carbon & chemicals exhibition

Reflecting Abu Dhabi’s global leadership in clean energy innovation, ADIPEC 2025 will also introduce the Low Carbon & Chemicals Exhibition, showcasing pioneering developments in hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, carbon capture, energy storage, chemicals and other clean energy technologies.

Taking place at ADNEC in the heart of Abu Dhabi, ADIPEC 2025 is expected to welcome more than 205,000 attendees from 172 countries, featuring over 1,800 speakers and 2,250 exhibiting companies across 17 exhibition halls.

With its expanding global reach and sharpened focus on intelligent innovation, ADIPEC 2025 reaffirms Abu Dhabi’s position at the forefront of the global energy transition – shaping a future where technology, sustainability and economic growth go hand in hand.
