Middle East luxury resale platform The Luxury Closet has announced a significant expansion with the launch of over 25 celebrity and influencer closets across Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Kuwait, and Qatar. The new initiative features high-profile personalities including, beauty entrepreneurs Mona and Huda Kattan, Lojain Omran and Dubai Bling’s Safa Sidiqqui.

The strategic move comes at a time when the global luxury resale market is gaining momentum, with the Middle East emerging as a key player in sustainable luxury. The platform will offer authenticated pre-owned luxury items directly from the personal collections of regional celebrities, including rare and one-of-a-kind pieces from brands like Chanel and Gucci.

“For the first time ever, women across Dubai and the GCC are opening their luxury closets to the world through The Luxury Closet,” said CEO, Kunal Kapoor. “This milestone not only showcases the region’s unparalleled style but also marks a bold step toward redefining luxury by merging sustainability with exclusivity.”

“The exclusive Celebrity Closet series allows fashion lovers a rare opportunity to explore standout designer pieces from the closets of stars who define fashion across the region. Beautiful vintage pieces from Chanel, statement loud art-like Gucci, and one-of-a-kind accessories that bring celebrity style into preloved shopping. We are really proud of this!” said Maya Azzi, Chief Brand Officer

Buyers will have access to unique pieces such as Mona Kattan’s wedding dress by Zuhair Murad, Dubai Bling star Safa’s signature Christopher Kane latex dress and more.

“Many of the pieces I’m contributing hold special memories. The most meaningful one would be my wedding dress by Zuhair Murad. My sisters Alya and Huda bought it for me. It made me feel like a princess for my special day.  Letting these items go is bittersweet, but I love the idea of them finding new homes where their stories can continue, while also promoting the idea of circular fashion,” Mona Kattan, beauty entrepreneur and The Luxury Closet board member said in an exclusive interview with Arabian Business.

She asserts that purchasing these pre-loved items is not only a way to acquire iconic pieces but a way to support the idea of circular fashion.

“Sustainability is a priority, especially in today’s fast-paced world of fashion. As a board member of The Luxury Closet, a leader in circular fashion, I’m deeply committed to reducing waste and extending the lifecycle of luxury items. It’s about redefining consumption by focusing on quality, longevity, and mindful choices. For me, sustainability isn’t just a responsibility—it’s an opportunity to innovate and create lasting value while preserving our planet for future generations,” Kattan explained.

Dubai Bling’s Safa Sidiqqui said, “I’ve included some really special items in my closet already. I pride myself on making my pieces reasonably priced because, for me, it’s about others enjoying them. There are so many standout items, including pieces I wore on Dubai Bling. One iconic piece is the black latex Christopher Kane dress I wore to the Women in Domination event. It’s exciting to share items that hold meaning and style, giving others the chance to enjoy these treasures as much as I did.”

Sustainability stands as a key theme of this new launch.

“Preloved initiatives like The Luxury Closet encourage people to see the value in second-hand items and embrace sustainable shopping habits. By offering access to unique pieces and ensuring authenticity, these platforms make preloved shopping both stylish and trustworthy,” she added.

The Luxury Closet has authentication processes to ensure the legitimacy of items. Each piece comes with a story, adding an additional layer of value for collectors and fashion enthusiasts.
