Dubai's Festival Plaza project to include Lulu hypermarket

Al-Futtaim's latest shopping destination under construction in Jebel Ali has announced that Lulu will be its hypermarket of choice.

Following its ground-breaking in March 2017, Festival Plaza is on track and planned to open in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Festival Plaza, Al-Futtaim’s latest shopping destination under construction in Jebel Ali, has announced that Lulu will be the centre’s hypermarket of choice.

The retail destination has already announced the second IKEA in Dubai and new concept ACE Hardware.

Following its ground-breaking in March 2017, Festival Plaza is on track and planned to open in the fourth quarter of 2019.

“We are excited to partner with Lulu Hypermarket and welcome them to the Festival Plaza development. We look forward to bringing the best in retail offerings to the entire Dubai South community with our latest project, Festival Plaza, and we will continue to enhance the retail mix and experience for Dubai South shoppers,” said Timothy Earnest, group director, Retail Malls, Engineering & Technologies, Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate.

Ashraf Ali MA, executive director of Lulu Group added: “We are delighted to be a part of the new retail offerings at Dubai South’s latest destination, Festival Plaza, allowing us to serve to a new and wider community. We are looking forward to bringing our ultra-modern retail ambience to our shoppers, all under one roof.”

Al-Futtaim said Festival Plaza will serve residential communities including Jebel Ali, Al Furjan, Dubai Marina and commuters travelling through the E11 and Abu Dhabi interchange.
