Festival Plaza, Al-Futtaim’s lifestyle shopping destination planned to open in Jebel Ali by the end of 2019, has confirmed Marks & Spencer as its clothing anchor store.

Marks & Spencer, the multinational retailer, will bring its full offering of womenswear, menswear and kidswear to the new store, in addition to its popular foodhall and M&S Café.

Timothy Earnest, group director, Retail Malls, Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Marks & Spencer to our newest community mall at Festival Plaza.

"The well-known British brand will be joining a list of prominent brands, including IKEA and ACE.”

Stephen Rayfield, vice president, Marks & Spencer Middle East & Asia, added: “This opening marks our ongoing expansion in the region, adding to our existing 16 stores in the UAE, and 32 across the Gulf.

"We look forward to bringing the very best of Marks & Spencer’s must-have clothing and high-quality food to more customers in the UAE and offering a truly fantastic shopping experience.”

Following its ground-breaking in March 2017, construction on Festival Plaza is on track and planned to open in the fourth quarter of 2019.
