Adnoc Distribution said 50 of the new stations will be operational by the end of next year
Adnoc Distribution has revealed a new, high-tech “Adnoc on the go” station designed to serve areas in which traditional stations would be impractical, the company has announced.
“Our new ‘Adnoc On the go’ stations are designed to be installed in neighborhoods throughout the UAE, advancing the nation’s economic and infrastructure development,” said Adnoc Distribution chairman and Adnoc Group CEO Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.
“Their innovative, flexible design allows us to deliver tailor-made solutions for any location and serve customers where larger, traditional stations would not be practical. The smart technologies we are applying, will enhance our customers’ journey, providing a more convenient and seamless fueling and shopping experience,” he added.
According to Al Jaber, Adnoc plans to have 50 of the new stations operational by the end of 2020.
Each station will be tailored to the community it serves, from high stations catering to long distance travelers to smaller versions within local communities and residential areas.
Additionally, Adnoc Distribution plans to upgrade all its existing Adnoc Oasis convenience stores, a process that is expected to be complete by the end of 2021.
Adnoc Distribution is also launching a new loyalty programme – Adnoc Rewards – in the fourth quarter of 2019.
The programme – the UAE’s first-ever fuel rewards programme – will give customers access to promotions and offers when they fuel up and pay at its service stations.
Mohamed Al Hashemi, Adnoc Distribution’s chief operating officer, the rewards programme is already being piloted and is “on track” to launch nation-wide late this year. For all the latest retail news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
