Revamp sees the mall transform from a community centre to a regional shopping destination housing 130 international brands and restaurants
A multi-phase redevelopment has been completed at City Centre Ajman, it was announced on Monday.
This revamp sees the mall transform from a community centre to a regional shopping and lifestyle destination housing a mix of 130 international brands and restaurants.
The second stage has seen the mall refine its offering and diversify its retail mix to include a dedicated home category, fashion and lifestyle brands and all-new dining offerings, a statement said.
The work, which has also seen finishing touches added to the new wing as well as the enhancement of public areas and mall facilities, is part of an ongoing AED643 million enhancement project by Majid Al Futtaim.
Fuad Sharaf, managing director of UAE, Oman and Bahrain Shopping Malls said: “This redevelopment emerges from us listening to our customers and understanding that they expect more from malls in their community. We want to provide them with a single destination that satisfies the wants and needs of their busy modern life.”
The list of new brands at City Centre Ajman includes Centrepoint and Home Centre, making their debut in the emirate. Also introduced in Ajman for the first time are fashion brands LC Waikiki, H&M and MAX, alongside electronics giant Sharaf DG and coffee outlets Tim Hortons, Starbucks, and Café Nero.
New dining eateries include Indian restaurant Gazebo, Pizza Express, Portuguese-style grill Nando’s and Mado.
Sharaf said City Centre Ajman is also on track to uplifting the economy of Ajman, creating 250 new jobs in the emirate. For all the latest retail news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
