The decision is valid until UAE authorities deem it is safe to return to restaurants

Entertainer app waives all delivery commissions during Covid-19 crisis

Entertainment and dining incentives app the Entertainer has removed all commissions on food deliveries amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the company has announced.

In a statement, the Entertainer said that the move took effect on March 25 “until the UAE government deems it safe to open restaurant doors for takeaways and in-venue dining.”

“Everyone is doing their best to navigate a new normal, and as a market leader, it was necessary to step in and help restaurants to continue delivering food,” marketing director Mike Rich said.

“We know that these are challenging times, and we want to help our merchants focus on doing what they do best, delivering delicious food,” Rich added. “We hope this will play a part in helping to maintain their delivery operations and to support their teams.”

Additionally, the Entertainer has opened its 25 percent off delivery operators to all customers.

Founded in 2001 in Dubai by Donna Benton, the Entertainer operates in various parts of the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
