The influence of Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed is difficult to outdo. The flamboyant businessman has significant investments in just about every sector and every corner of the globe through his conglomerate Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), whether it’s global giants such as Apple, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Citigroup, Twitter or News Corp, or the list of schools, health facilities and real estate in Saudi Arabia. He owns landmarks such as The Plaza in New York City, The Savoy in London and Four Seasons George V Hotel in Paris.

Prince Alwaleed is also competing to build the world’s tallest tower, overlooking the holy city of Mekkah in Saudi Arabia.

But it is not all business. Prince Alwaleed is also a valuable supporter in the rally to allow women to drive in the conservative kingdom and he is leading efforts to boost philanthropy in the Arab world, pledging in 2015 to give all of his wealth to charity when he dies.

The regular line-up of royalty, government leaders and top businessmen who visit him further illustrates Prince Alwaleed’s influence is like few others.
