The brand, which has outlets in Dubai Mall and The Greens, charged AED96 for a basket of food and drink items, some AED50 cheaper than its priciest rival, More.
The second cheapest venue was expat hotspot The Lime Tree Cafe, which recently opened its third branch in Media city, and charged AED97 for a two-person meal.
Also rated as good value was Basta Art Cafe in Bur Dubai, which charged AED106 for the lunch package and sold three items at a lower price than any of its counterparts.
The survey polled the cost of a basket of typical lunchtime items at eight popular restaurants, including the cheapest sandwich, salad and hot drinks on the menu.

This is CHEAP? Really?
Wow, you people live in Utopia, not Dubai.
WOW! I like what you classify as "cheap"! For the blue-collared guys who live in cramped dorms in Sonapur and Al Qouz, AED 96 could feed them for a whole month!
And even for the average Jones, a simple lunch would cost not more than AED 20-30 inclusive of a sandwich and beverage from a decent place.
AB.. get real.. until your articles are targeted to the high-end of the pyramid, for whom this would 'dirt-cheap' and they wouldn't even care to go there.. cos they can't be seen at such 'cheap' places.
