Adult ticket for world's largest indoor theme park - set to open in early 2016 - will cost about $81
IMG Worlds of Adventure, the world’s largest indoor theme park - set to open in early 2016 - has announced their adult ticket price and opening times.
Entry to the four zones of the park (Cartoon Network, MARVEL, Lost Valley - Dinosaur Adventure and IMG Boulevard) will cost AED300 ($81) for adults with the price of children’s tickets to be announced soon.
The entry price to IMG Worlds of Adventure is comparable to the cost of an adult ticket at the top major theme parks around the world, a statement said, adding that the price of entry will cover access to all rides and attractions within the park throughout the course of one day.
The statement added that the park’s standard operating times will be 10am–10pm (Sunday to Wednesday) and 10am-midnight (Thursday, Friday and Saturday).
Lennard Otto, CEO of IMG Worlds of Adventure, said: “We anticipate that our guests will stay over 6½ hours in our park in a single visit, and we took this into consideration when establishing our pricing strategy. As such, we believe IMG Worlds of Adventure will offer exceptional entertainment value for money.”
IMG Worlds of Adventure will span 1.5 million square feet and will be able to host up to 20,000 visitors per day. The park will have 25 retail shops and 28 food and beverage outlets, alongside thrill rides, kiddie rides and activities including the Velociraptor, the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in Dubai.
The first multi-branded theme park to open in the region, IMG Worlds of Adventure will be temperature controlled, meaning that it is able to attract visitors year-round.
The park is currently in the final stages of development and is gearing up for the grand opening. The main structure and civil works have been completed and the rides, food and beverage, and retail are currently in the testing, commissioning and fit-out phase. For all the latest travel news from the UAE and Gulf countries, follow us on Twitter and Linkedin, like us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube page, which is updated daily.
I sincerely wish that the anticipated date for grand opening of IMG Theme park will actually happen on time.
So far, there has been three projected dates for completion but never been met or fulfilled.
I do wish them luck this time but still not optimistic.
We will wait and see.
Exactly that's why the latest deadline is suitably vague "early in 2016", which also will not be met in all likelihood. The developer has a track record of delayed or failed delivery.
This developer is very good at getting funds from banks and investors. The track record on delivery is also 100%. Or to be more accurate, non-delivery.
Past under-performance usually guarantees future results.
