Review: BiCE Ristorante

Does it really get better than Italian food? (Hint: The answer is no)

Review: BiCE Ristorante

We cannot count the times when we were promised a ‘true Italian dining experience’ at high end restaurants only to be left disappointed at the lack of traditional cuisine – or just good food.

You will not be disappointed when you try BiCE Ristorante in the Hilton Jumeirah Beach Residence. Where do we start? The venue is decked out in dark wood, golden chandeliers, and a large piano where a (very talented) live singer performs classic hits like Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World.

For starters, we opted for the thinly sliced cured beef with rocket salad and the signature burrata dish with grilled zucchini. Together, they are a perfect mix of salty and creamy – the burrata exceptionally fresh.

For the main course, we chose the beef tenderloin fillet with baby spinach and potato puree – just heavenly. The generously sized steak was simply cooked to perfection - utterly tender and without doubt one of the best we have had in and out of Dubai.

For dessert, we tried the crème brûlée, which was a tad bit sweet and not at all heavy. The perfect end to a rich meal.

The staff at BiCE is a great example to all others in high end restaurants – genuinely caring, polite, and always, always on standby. BiCE is very romantic but also family-friendly. It is definitely an impressive place to take a date or family members visiting the city.
