Turkish hotel company Rixos Hotels is to add another property to its eight-strong portfolio, with a new resort set to open at the end of this year in Thailand.

The Rixos Premium Khao Lak, boasting 300 luxurious rooms and suites, will be open for guests from November 2008.

Fettah Tamince, founder of Rixos Hotels, said: “We are very excited to enter to the Far East market as Rixos, especially in such a prime location as Thailand.

“Without a doubt, Rixos will be distinctive to the residents of Thailand as well as all of those who travel to Thailand as an attractive tourist destination. Our concept is different to that of other hotel chains, and certainly unique. I look forward to the opening soon and also to being involved in the buoyant hotel industry of the Far East.”

Rixos Hotels, a chain which designs, builds and operates properties itself, was established by Tamince in 2000.

The chain presently owns and operates luxury hotels in the Mediterranean, Eastern and Central Europe, the Gulf Region and Central Asia, with further hotels set to open later this year.
