Royal Jet has promoted Captain Mohamed Saif Al Mazroui to the position of director of flight operations as part of a management restructuring.

The Abu Dhabi-based luxury executive carrier has appointed UAE national Al Mazroui - who has 25 years' experience and has worked for Amiri Flight, Gulf Air and Oman Air - to take charge of ensuring standard procedures are followed by pilots, aircraft safety, real assessment centres for potential pilots and the Emiratisation of flight crews, as it prepares for an expected increase in new business.

"Captain Al Mazroui has already proved his professionalism and commitment to the company," said Captain Andy Bray, vice president of operations, Royal Jet.

"As Royal Jet continues to enjoy an exponential increase in new business, this appointment will be critical in ensuring that we are well placed to further expand our market leadership of the private aviation sector."
