Rmal ‘in talks’ to find operator for Fujairah resort

Rmal Hospitality, the specialist hotel and restaurant arm of UAE-based Al Fahim Group, has announced plans to expand into the east-coast emirate of Fujairah with a new luxury hotel development.

Rmal Hospitality, the specialist hotel and restaurant arm of UAE-based Al Fahim Group, has announced plans to expand into the east-coast emirate of Fujairah with a new luxury hotel development.

The new luxury resort development will include restaurants, conference spaces and spa facilities on its 132,000m² coastal plot, and supports the Fujairah Tourism Bureau’s plans to boost hospitality and promote the emirate as an attractive investment centre.

Rmal Hospitality chief executive Anthony Liddiard commented: “We are committed to developing our property portfolio with a range of strategic investments in world-class brands and developments, as well as supporting tourism initiatives in the UAE.

“The Fujairah resort is our second luxury property and after conducting extensive feasibility studies we recognise that this emirate will become a major hospitality epicentre in the Middle East”.

Liddiard added that the group was “in talks with exclusive international hotel operators” and said a major announcement would be made soon.

“We are confident that the appointment of the operator and the property will add a new dimension to the growing emirate of Fujairah,” he concluded.
